Thank you so much for your interest in auditioning for Hello, Dolly!

Auditions will be on Sunday 14th June in Guildford (or local to Guildford - venue TBC).

For now, we ask that you keep your availability open for the whole day until we have finalised and allocated slots. You will not be needed for the whole day however!

The day will be split into two parts:

• The first part will be auditions for the ensemble. This will be in a group workshop format, and will include some movement, a bit of acting, as well as singing. N.B. Everyone will be asked to sing a few lines SOLO in this audition. We will teach this to you on the day.

• The second part will be individual audition slots for people wanting to be considered for named roles (excluding ensemble). You may audition for as many roles as you like - you will need to prepare the relevant audition material for each role.

About our ensemble

Together with named characters, we will cast around 20 people to form our fantastic ensemble. We need all ages and a balance of Sopranos, Altos, Tenors & Baritones. We pride ourselves on our ensembles being the absolute foundation of our productions; this isn’t just about filling the stage! Our ensemble will create the world of Yonkers before the audience’s very eyes and is the musical soundscape for the whole show. There will be lots to do! The ensemble will be townspeople, dancing waiters, authority figures and many more characters.

2) Complete the audition booking form, selecting the parts you are interested in. There is a section on the form for you to tell us anything we need to know when allocating time slots. We will do our best to accommodate any requests. Deadline for submitting this form is midnight Friday 22nd May.
